The Pepper show was pretty amazing last night. The energy was just incredible. I want to be in a band like that. I mean, there were a lot of people there that didn't know many of the songs and some people I met didn't even really get into that style of music but when they played...EVERYONE was moving. Gina and I danced the WHOLE time. Such small venues are always great and it was refreshing to be at a show where everyone seemed to be getting along and having a good time. Off to read Othello and write a paper but before I do...

Does anyone know a good site that hosts music? Just something quick and easy. I finally professionally recorded my first song a couple of weeks ago and I'd love to get some feedback from everyone, anyone. My producer was none other than Trevor Tanner (formerly of The Bolshoi, check yer 80's British trivia kids). He's really quite the musical genius and I had a great time recording it, in his garage studio. Yes, it was still full with coats, a pirate ship with lights, broken skateboards, and plenty of random tools and the lot. In one corner was a small table with a mixer, mic and stand, a few guitars, keyboard, bass and a few other tech bits. VERY comfy feel for anyone else that may be looking for a producer. Two thumbs way up. In any case, I'd really appreciate your help in locating a site so I can share it with friends.

P.S. having your best friend as your V-day date is the best. So are Georgia-mud blizzards from DQ. Just sayin.

Yesterday was pretty awesome.
I'll probably have a huge phone bill but it's aight.
Much thanks to everyone for calling.
I think my favorite part was when I thought I had finally found the art bar, although it seemed a little weird there was no sign outside and I only saw about 3 people when I peered in the window.
Yeah, that's right, I was looking inside someone's house at 11:30 at night.
Good thing Gina had to pee first.
We ended up looking for a bathroom in Riverside and accidentally stumbled upon the real art bar. D'oh.
I still wish I had knocked on their door, handed them three dollars and asked where I could get something to drink.
Hey, I couldn't help it that the address I got online was the same as this house, these people had tons of art hanging up inside, and a nice little table oustide for people to sit outside if they wanted to.
It fit the descriptions pretty dead on.
Oh, except for the fact that it *wasn't* the art bar.

I even pet their cat.

So, I'm likin the whole college thing so far. I like it a lot. No cliques, very laid-back, you get out a little early sometimes instead of having to sit in a room bored outta yo mind cause the teach is done for the day and well, it's all realy interesting. Then there's the fact that I don't even have to attend my Psych class, it's all straight from the book and I can either show up for the 5 exams and not take the final or risk it all and just take the final. Interesing. I think I'll go with option A.

I saw The Village today and loved it. Wasn't really what I was expecting but I really love M.Night's work. He is very similar to Hitchcock in a lot of ways and this movie really showed that but he brings a lot of new elements and a certain fresh style to movies. I would really love to meet and interview him. Seems like a very interesting guy that I could easily get along with.

Random: I flipped through a black & white photography magazine in the UNF bookstore today and was reminded of how much I love it.

I'm tired and all of my sentences are getting short and choppy. Not to mention, boring. Night all.

What a day.

Rach and I hung out for a bit. I love that girl so much. We understand each other really well and she laughs at my stupid jokes. She made me a gamer today, it was scary.

Traffic was INSANE today. Took me about an hour and a half to get to Normandy and back. Yikes.

Kristina, I'm glad to hear that you and Lee are ok. Call me sometime this week and we'll all do something before you go back to school, be sure to tell Lee no Ricki though.

Spivey's garage sale tomorrow, not too sure if she cares for me much but we'll see what happens. Never really talked to her that much but she seems like a cool gal. Hopefully I'll pick up some cool whatnots.

Last night I was on Fascination Street

Yesterday was AMAZING!

Left around 1ish, goofed off at Super Target (hopefully that guy in Starbuck's will start giving me discounts, yes? ha). Had a delicious chicken blt salad at a Wendy's in Orlando and got to Curiosa around 6:15ish. Missed Head Automatica and Mogwai but we saw or at least heard, the rest of the bands, starting out with Cooper Temper Clause. Caught the last half of The Rapture, Auf Der Maur ( I quite liked them), Interpol, Thursday, then THE CURE. Auf Der Maur really caught my interest and Thursday put on a pretty energetic show. Interpol's show made me a bigger fan also.

Got a Curiosa shirt...35 bucks, yikes. Got Melissa from Auf Der Maur to sign it. Very nice, very modest.

As we were watching The Cure (our seats were in the middle section but the front row, right near the walkway) I noticed a guy in a dark suit, def had a "band" look about him. I realized it was Daniel Kessler from Interpol. He kinda stood there for a few minutes watching The Cure and I sat debating whether I should talk to him or not. He seemed to just be enjoying himself and I didn't really want to ruin it, especially if a lot of people started coming up to talk to him. Finally he walked away and I sat regretting that I didn't go meet him. Looked out for him during the show and about 10 minutes later he walked by again so I just jumped out of my seat and decided to go say hi. He was REALLY nice, made small talk for a minute or two but it was a little difficult to hear him (but it's ok considering I couldn't really hear him because The Cure was playing a couple of hundred feet away). Didn't ask for an autograph or anything, just told him that they put on a great show and complimented his guitar skills. Good guy.

Anyway, the best part of the night, watching The Cure perform. It was so amazing getting to see them live. I've grown up listening to these guys and to finally hear it all in person was great. The whole show was done really well, lights and all. I was impressed with the mix of songs they played. Both old and new. What was the one song he said he couldn't play during the encore? I'm guessing it was a popular song..didn't play Boys Don't Cry, Love Cats, or Friday I'm in Love. The only other song I could think of was Killing an Arab, which, uh, yeah, they might not want to play right now. Robert Smith's voice is amazing live and the whole band had a great show I thought. He looks a lot different though...

Kim the Quail, did you go? I saw that you tried to call but my phone was acting a little weird in Orlando.

Evan Judd, I saw you during the Thursday show but failed to get your attention!

Randi, did you have a good time? I looked around for ya but never saw you:/ Last time I talked to you about it you said you guys got grass seats. It was nice that the place was pretty small though and the screens helped a bit. Except when they showed the keyboard player...he freaks me out.

Billy and Tony, I ended up just going yesterday and not staying in Orlando Saturday night so we didn't have to pay for a hotel room. We didn't stay last night either, got back around 3 this morning. I got online before I left yesterday to see if you guys were online so we could try to meet up for dinner or something somewhere in Orlando but you guys weren't on and I didn't have any phone numbers or addresses! Especially since you guys are living together now. I'm sorry I didn't get to see you guys, mega bummed :( Send me #'s and addresses for when I come down again!
I had a great time and I feel really lucky for getting the chance to see them live. And another day gies by that I'm grateful I don't have epilepsy...

So I'm just a wee bit excited about my new icon, makes me laugh.

Looks like Kevin got a good schedule this year, I'm telling ya, Ms.Eucare is beyond pimp. Plus you actually LEARN interesting things in that class. Lancaster, he loves to tell a good thong story and Mista O well, 'nuff said.

Angelina and I went to the beach for about...30 minutes today. Wimps are we. It was just way too hot. So what'd we do? Drove to Rita's in Mandarin, got Cappucino Creme Gelatis and ate them outside where we were oogled at by construction workers. Oh the fun. Stopped by Taco Bell, Brandyn kicked us out of the drive thru. After that we went to her house, dodged "Killer", the gigantic spider that refuses to die, and pulled weeds. That didn't last real long (praise the lord) so we did some water aerobics and quoted Family Guy while we swam. Almost played a game...something involving one end of the pool being Cuba, the other end Miami, building a raft out of noodles and becoming Elian. You know. Typical kids games.

Curiosa fest this weekend. Really looking forward to it :) Tony and Billy are you going? By the way...do you guys think you'd be interested in going to meet TBS at the acoustic set/signing at Virgin Records on the 29th? of course you would. Also, did you guys go to the Trapt Hard Rock Live show, I watched the Echo performance on mtv.com earier and looked for you guys but didn't see you. Which ones did you go to and where were you standing?

I'm bummed about Pepper being sold out, FINALLY people are noticing them? They've been going for how many years now? Should be a good show...I still might be able to get in...hookups.
