Please help! [Dec. 1st, 2006|06:55 pm]
My cousin in Iceland has created a documentary and it's up for a $100,000 prize. Voting ends at midnight and he is currently #1! I'd really appreciate it if you'd go to this site and watch and vote for it before midnight tonight! His documentary is titled "One Nation Under Guard" by Luke Krost.
Thank you!!!

Hello again [Nov. 17th, 2006|06:00 pm]
[mood | excited]

Haven't posted on here in quite some time but I thought I'd try to keep up with it a little more. I don't have a lot to add but I'm studying journalism and photography now. Hoping to start writing for UNF's paper soon and get involved in the radio station. Anyway, here are some tracks I've been into lately, I'm always looking for new stuff to listen to so feel free to add some...
< 3

1. Gas Tank by Home Video, no really, I swear it's not Radiohead.
2. Bees by Animal Collective, actually, I'm into everything associated with Elephant six records.
3. St. Petersburg by Supergrass, so much more mature than their Clueless soundtrack days.
4. Listen up! by The Gossip, Janis Joplin re-incarnated???
5. Corpus Chant by Beniot Pioulard, wayyy haunting.
6. Hussy by Crystal Skulls, their label "Scratch n Sniff' is so cool.
7. Young Bride by Midlake, sooo beautiful.
8. Hotcha Girls by Ugly Casanova, ok how did they not get more recognition than Modest Mouse? They've got exactly what Modest Mouse needed, melody.
9. Boxcar by The Rosebuds, I suggest everything by this band. I LOVE them. *swoon*
10. Brandy Alexander by The Walkmen, because they are just fun and I love them.
11. Anti Anti by Snowden oh man I CANNOT stop dancing to this song!

P.S. Anyone up for European Street soon?

[tunes |trainspotting]

Hello again everyone.
Sam and I are formulating a plan.
Randi, be prepared.
So uhhh I don't really have too much to say, school has been going well, taking a few classes this summer but I'll still have tons of free time if anyone would like to mingle.
So good to see you again Az!
I haven't slept in ages.
Mama Fu's with Mr.Robert Tues, it's tradition. Tradition! :)
I will be finishing up some new songs soon if anyone would like to hear.
New Family Guy.
Anyone going to warped?
I think I've covered all the key points.
Good day all.

Ring phone....ring. 10 more minutes.

Oh so tired [Feb. 20th, 2005|04:55 pm]
[mood | calm]
[tunes |Smashing Pumpkins - 1979]

The Pepper show was pretty amazing last night. The energy was just incredible. I want to be in a band like that. I mean, there were a lot of people there that didn't know many of the songs and some people I met didn't even really get into that style of music but when they played...EVERYONE was moving. Gina and I danced the WHOLE time. Such small venues are always great and it was refreshing to be at a show where everyone seemed to be getting along and having a good time. Off to read Othello and write a paper but before I do...

So we were talking about movie heroes in my Lit class... [Feb. 18th, 2005|11:09 pm]
[tunes |SMASHING PUMPKINS-1979]

And my prof is all "Is Napoleon Dynamite a hero?"
And I'm all... "Heck yes he was!" *throws head down* "He's incredible."
Cue class laughter for no less than 5 minutes.
I think I made my momma proud.

P.S. The Smashing Pumpkins and Ben Folds are just....how you say...amazing?

Well hello all... [Feb. 15th, 2005|09:43 pm]

[tunes |Pennywise]

Does anyone know a good site that hosts music? Just something quick and easy. I finally professionally recorded my first song a couple of weeks ago and I'd love to get some feedback from everyone, anyone. My producer was none other than Trevor Tanner (formerly of The Bolshoi, check yer 80's British trivia kids). He's really quite the musical genius and I had a great time recording it, in his garage studio. Yes, it was still full with coats, a pirate ship with lights, broken skateboards, and plenty of random tools and the lot. In one corner was a small table with a mixer, mic and stand, a few guitars, keyboard, bass and a few other tech bits. VERY comfy feel for anyone else that may be looking for a producer. Two thumbs way up. In any case, I'd really appreciate your help in locating a site so I can share it with friends.

P.S. having your best friend as your V-day date is the best. So are Georgia-mud blizzards from DQ. Just sayin.

[tunes |Joydrop - Beautiful]

Hello again everyone. I've been in an ultra weird mood lately. Very...numb I guess you could say. Not the happiest I've ever been but I'm here. I've been a bit anti-social but I really do miss all of you, please please feel free to comment and let me know what you're up to or call and leave me a message. I feel like such a crappy friend for not being more active lately, I need to get over this spell. In any case, I hope everyone's doing well and I'd love to hear from you. New cell # 673.2772. I'll try to update more but until next time, take care and go have some fun.

So [Oct. 8th, 2004|07:35 am]
Yesterday was pretty awesome.
I'll probably have a huge phone bill but it's aight.
Much thanks to everyone for calling.
I think my favorite part was when I thought I had finally found the art bar, although it seemed a little weird there was no sign outside and I only saw about 3 people when I peered in the window.
Yeah, that's right, I was looking inside someone's house at 11:30 at night.
Good thing Gina had to pee first.
We ended up looking for a bathroom in Riverside and accidentally stumbled upon the real art bar. D'oh.
I still wish I had knocked on their door, handed them three dollars and asked where I could get something to drink.
Hey, I couldn't help it that the address I got online was the same as this house, these people had tons of art hanging up inside, and a nice little table oustide for people to sit outside if they wanted to.
It fit the descriptions pretty dead on.
Oh, except for the fact that it *wasn't* the art bar.

I even pet their cat.

Birthday/Halloween party tomorrow, call if you can make it!

So hey... [Oct. 7th, 2004|04:31 pm]
[mood | accomplished]

It's about time.

Thanks for all the calls so far everyone!

The only change I've noticed so far is some chest hair.

It's a start right?

I'll let you know if I when the lottery.

Call if you'd like to do something to night or sing to me Norma Jean style.

P.S. Brandyn, good luck. <3

Talked to Kelly O'Brien this afternoon. He gave me a cd of his new band's stuff and asked me to hand out some flyers. Together At Last will be playing at Wackadoo's on Sept 10. If you have any questions just ask me!

Mommy wow [Aug. 24th, 2004|11:49 am]
So, I'm likin the whole college thing so far. I like it a lot. No cliques, very laid-back, you get out a little early sometimes instead of having to sit in a room bored outta yo mind cause the teach is done for the day and well, it's all realy interesting. Then there's the fact that I don't even have to attend my Psych class, it's all straight from the book and I can either show up for the 5 exams and not take the final or risk it all and just take the final. Interesing. I think I'll go with option A.

To Kim:

MW&F English 11-11:50 and Philosophy 2-2:50
T&R Psychology 9:25-10:40 and Anthro:Kinship and Marriage Patterns 12:15-1:30

What about you? I saw Esther yesterday but didn't have time to talk. They fake moved my Engligh class. Jokes on us.

So um yeah, things are really interesting so far. Anyone know anything about Bokonoism, Pataphysics or Discordinism? Anyone? Beuller? Azriahz?
Reading about Socrates in Philosophy. Plato has an interesting writing style. "Dramatic."
Anyway, what's everyone else up to?
Angelina I'm calling you today to see how your classes are going.
Off to Anthro.

Housekeeping )

I saw The Village today and loved it. Wasn't really what I was expecting but I really love M.Night's work. He is very similar to Hitchcock in a lot of ways and this movie really showed that but he brings a lot of new elements and a certain fresh style to movies. I would really love to meet and interview him. Seems like a very interesting guy that I could easily get along with.

Random: I flipped through a black & white photography magazine in the UNF bookstore today and was reminded of how much I love it.

I'm tired and all of my sentences are getting short and choppy. Not to mention, boring. Night all.
